Application
This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to carry out waste audits to meet the requirements of a waste audit plan. The unit covers interpreting the waste audit plan to identify audit tasks, equipment and compliance requirements and specific site requirements. The unit also covers identifying and managing hazards and risk at the audit site, and conducting a waste audit including isolating waste streams, and identifying, sorting measuring and recording waste. The unit requires audit activity details to be recorded and audit data to be compiled and presented.
The unit supports those who work in lead roles in a waste management team.
No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of endorsement.
